Delivery to the UK: Times, Cost and Currency
Our shipping policy lists the UK and Ireland at “About 1 – 2 Weeks”, the same standard delivery time as the United States. In the UK, parcels are delivered by GLS.
That time starts once your order is dispatched. Allow 1–3 business days for processing first. Weekends, bank holidays and order checks can add to this.
What delivery costs:
- Orders over 70 USD ship free. Every adapter in the model table below is priced under 70 USD at the time of writing, so a single adapter on its own has a delivery charge.
- Orders under 70 USD pay a 10 USD delivery fee.
- If you need it sooner, there’s a paid express option. The policy says 4PX Prime Express typically delivers in 3–5 business days. The policy doesn’t list a price for it.
Currency and import charges. At the time of writing, prices on the site are shown in US dollars, and your card provider converts them to pounds. The shipping policy says “All prices on our website include taxes”. It also says import duties, taxes and customs fees “may apply upon the arrival of your order”. If you want to know the total before you pay, email service@carlinkitfactory.com with your basket.
Tip: Adding a second item, such as a spare adapter for another car, can take a smaller order over the 70 USD free-delivery threshold.
Which Wireless CarPlay Adapter Fits UK Cars?
Every wireless CarPlay adapter works the same way. It doesn’t add CarPlay to your car. It turns the wired CarPlay your car already has into wireless CarPlay. This is the most important thing to check before you buy.
First, check your car has wired CarPlay
This quick cable check tells you more than a spec sheet:
- Plug your iPhone into the car with a data cable, not a charge-only cable.
- Watch the infotainment screen. If CarPlay appears, the adapter can work.
- If nothing happens, try another USB port. In some cars only one port carries data, and the others only charge.
- If CarPlay still doesn’t appear, your car doesn’t have wired CarPlay, so skip to the dash screen section below.
Does your car already connect without a cable? Then you don’t need an adapter.

- Vauxhall and MINI aren’t listed yet. If the cable check shows wired CarPlay, the adapter should work in principle. Still, email us your model and year before you order.
- Ford: the list only shows the Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit at the moment. Check with us about other models.
- BMW: the Mini Ultra, 5.0 (2air), 4.0 and A2A product pages all exclude BMW.
- Tesla: Tesla doesn’t have factory CarPlay, so standard adapters won’t work. The T2C 2.0 is made specifically for Tesla.

For the Mini Ultra, your phone needs to be an iPhone 6 or newer on iOS 10 or later, or an Android phone on Android 11 or later. If your household has both iPhones and Android phones, choose a model that supports both CarPlay and Android Auto.
No CarPlay? A Dash Screen with a Reversing Camera
If your car failed the cable check, an adapter won’t help. A portable CarPlay dash screen is the alternative. It doesn’t need wired CarPlay because it has its own screen.

Fitting tip: Mount the screen low on the windscreen or on the dashboard, where it doesn’t block your view of the road. Run the camera cable along the headlining and door trims before you fix the screen in place.
Global vs US Version: What UK Buyers Should Check
Some electronics come in separate EU and US versions. The Mini Ultra, 5.0 (2air) and 4.0 product pages don’t show a separate UK, EU or US version. Three things decide whether an adapter works in a UK car:
- your car has factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto
- your phone meets the minimum iOS or Android version
- your car isn’t on an excluded brand list, such as BMW or Tesla
If a product page shows a version choice when you order, pick the one for your region. If you’re not sure, email support with your car model and year.
Returns, Refunds and Warranty

- 30 days to request a return from the day your order arrives.
- If you change your mind, you can still return it. You pay the return postage, and there’s a restocking fee of 19% (minimum $15).

- You need an RMA first. Returns sent without one are refused. We email you an RMA label and the return address. Fix the label to the outside of the parcel.
