What should I do if Issue 1: TBox does not recognize/doesn’t work?
Step1: Restore factory settings on the Automotive Head Unit
Step2: Upgrade the firmware to the latest version
Please refer to the following link for instructions on how to update your dongle offline.

Step3: Check the status of the TBox’s signal light. If the light does not come on after 30 seconds following the connection to the USB port, you will need to use the two-part cable in order to increase the supply.
If you do not have this cable, you can buy your own.
NOTE:
① USB Female to CarlinKit product
② USB Male to car cigarette lighter/charging
③ USB Male to car data port(USB/Type-C are both possible, Depending on the data cable you purchase)
Question 2: What can I do if Android Auto/ CarPlay successfully connects to my smartphone but not to the screen in my car?
This may happen to some users when they use TBox’s wireless Android Auto/CarPlay.
The autokit app shows that the phone is connected via Bluetooth to the car, but the screen of the car does not show Android Auto/CarPlay successfully connected.
The solution may lie in the resolution of the problem (Automotive Head Unit/mobile telephone).
1. Modify the resolution on your Automotive Head Unit/Radio.
2. Modify the resolution in Android Auto Developer mode.
3. Split screen on Android Auto/CarPlay/Head unit with radio.
Explanation in detail.
1. Modify the resolution on Automotive Head Unit/Radio
Try to access wireless Android Auto/CarPlay using a different resolution setting if your Automotive Head Unit/Radio is capable of doing so. If you can successfully access wireless Android Auto/CarPlay on the car screen, then the phone must be set to match the Automotive Head Unit’s resolution.
Modify the resolution in Android Auto Developer mode.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap the version. Developer mode will be enabled. Modify Video Resolution under “Developer Settings” at the upper-right corner.
3. Split screen on Android Auto/Radio head unit/Automotive head unit/Radio turn-on
If your car has the option, turn on CarPlay/Android Auto Split Screen.
Problem 3: The Tbox Plus is recognized on the display but the name appears gray and I cannot select it.
As soon as I connect the box to my vehicle, it is recognized. The car display does not show anything. The name of the box is visible, but it’s grayed out and I’m unable to select anything.
Please upgrade the firmware if you experience the above issue with an Audi 2023 or 2024 model. Contact service@carlinkitfactory.com to obtain the firmware file.
